Any OOT brides or anyone that was in a bridal party for one- I need you!
My friend is trying to figure out a way to get her sister here from Florida for her shower. She doesn't want to make it an emergency, but she is trying to think of an event important enough for her sister to fly back for. Any ideas?

hmm....wish I could help since I am an OOT bride...but I knew about my LI shower b/c I basically told my MOH and mom that there was no way they were getting me here unless I knew it was important (I had a lot of weekend work at the time, and it was unpredicatable).....although they did get me completely with a local shower for me, I had no idea!
hmm maybe if it were an important life occasion for someone else in the family? Like an anniversary party or something?

Is anyone having a big birthday or milestone coming up?
She's probably going to figure out that it is her shower anyway. . . If she wants to play along, she will come to NY regardless of the reason you give her!

I know she will figure it out but her sister really wants it to be a surprise. I'm stumped!

I had to know about my shower too, it was the only way to make sure i'd be in town. Is there anything she has to be in town for as far as wedding planning?? Or maybe you can say it's a suprise birthday party for a family member if there's one coming up? I remember that bluegreen was suprised that way! She thought she was going to her dad's suprise b-day party!

I'm and OOT bride, but I knew when my shower was, but I didn't know where, or any other details, so I was still surprised about that. So maybe she could just do that
