Also, on the October question, I found that it doesn't book that fast. We didn't start looking for halls until February or March of this year and there were still plenty of October dates left at lots of different halls.

YES!! I need to get my butt in gear!!
FH FINALLY asked his wedding party and FMIL decided on a beautiful choclate brown dress with beige accents instead of a fully beige dress.
But we still need to finalize the invites and wording and order them. Still have to do flowers, limos, make-up, hair, veil, shoes, purse, gifts, and lots of other things!!!
Lunch hours and free evenings are a thing of the past!!

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
Question for my fellow halloween themed brides:
We thought it would be fun to do Monster Names instead of table numbers for the reception tables.
Problem is, I need 15 table names. So far, I can only come up with these:
Frankenstein Table - FH's family Bride of Frankenstein Table - My family Dracula Table Wolfman Table Mummy Table
Any other ideas???

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
I love the Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein idea! So cute!
How about Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde (either as one table or two)?
Hmmm...there have to be other monsters. Maybe a bunch of different vampires, like Lestat and Nosferatu, not only Dracula? Or there are monsters like Big Foot and the Loch Ness Monster. Hunchback of Notre Dame? Creature from the Black Lagoon?

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
Monster names??? oooooooo Could I maybe 'borrow' that??? What a great idea!!!
I've thought of:
The Black Lagoon (ie: creature from) Alien Cthulu Tell Tale Heart (not a monster ...but a good table name) Jack The Ripper Loch Ness Cerebus Gorgon (or Medusa) King Kong Godzilla

That's is such a great idea for the table names. I wonder if my mother and Fh would go for it.....

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
We're doing table names, too, but ours isn't a straight Halloween theme. It's a Venetian masked ball. So I'm trying to decide between names of canals in Venice, names of bridges, or names of famous places there. Any other suggestions?

You can totally borrow it!! It's not like people will be at both of our weddings!!

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
ok i ran the mosnster name thing past fh and he thinks i am nuts - i think we should find pictures of all these monsters and use them as part of the table numbers like a pic of dracula and under it will say Dracula in some kind of odd vampy looking font - do you think that is too much???

No way, that's not too much! That's exactly how I would do it, too. You can get really cool, artsy pictures of the monsters. I think it'd be so much fun!

Re: Any other 10/30 brides?
That's what we're doing. I've been hunting through the internet for 'artsy' pictures and I have some artistic ability, so if I can't find what I am picturing I am going to just draw them myself.
Surprisingly, everyone has been really excited about the idea on my side. Even my mom thinks it's cool!!
Our invitation font is called Black Chancery and it's kind of gothic-feeling, so I may just use that for the place cards and the table pics.
I think it's so fun and people will definitely remember it!!
