I'm booking with Gerard - he's the General Manager, he handles all the bookings there. Honestly I have heard nothing but AMAZING things about The Royalton on this board. I can't speak of the other place, since I've never heard of it before... Since food is so important to us, we're doing a contract that's conditional on tasting - we're doing our tasting at the end of July. Anyway so far the experience has been pretty good, and I've heard a lot of great things... so I would highly recommend it! :)

yea! i know that was like the only thing about the royalton that i don't love - that we can only use those two florists!! i'm kind of worried about it, b/c i'm not in love w/ either of them, and i've heard they're both pretty pricey. i'm hoping that if i come in with a specific idea of what i'm going for, they will be able to just copy that. i think that's our best hope at this point ... b/c the floral buyout is expensive! so i would try to work w/ them.

anyone have any new royalton-related news? i was just home visiting this weekend, and we had a bunch of vendor appointments. this guy Paul at Stefan's told us to stop by there on Friday late afternoon, b/c he had done the flowers for that night's wedding. i was excited to have an excuse to go over to the royalton! it was gorgeous, as usual, but i hate to say it but i wasn't that impressed with the flowers :( ... hope i'm not dissing anybody, but the girl who's on here who's wedding was last weekend had hers on saturday (not friday).. so i think i'm ok!![]()
