we're like thisclose... but I keep going back and forth btwn two.
I feel like l'm so behind everyone else!
we're thinking either july or october depending on which venue we end up at... but am i cutting it too close?

I'm looking in Manhattan, so neither of the places have alot of feed back on LIW (It's btwn 3 West Club and Astra Cafe btw)
I'm sure either would be lovely, but it's just scary to put down all that money and I don't want to wonder 'what if'.

totally understand...as long as the dates aren't booking up, take as much time as you need!
I don't think you're cutting it too close for july...you aren't even at the one year mark yet. It's better to take a little longer to decide than to book something just because you think you're running out of time...

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I personally would rather take my time then just rush into something and not be 100% sure.

If it makes you feel any better...
When I was looking around at RH's I had NO intention of booking. I went into it looking at venues and getting quotes. It was almost an accident I booked as early as I did. Don't stress over it! It will be fine :

Your not cutting it close at all. You have plenty of time.
If it makes you feel better, FH and I argued over which hall to choose between 2 for a month. Then, we eventually chose the one that I wanted more.
I did wind up questioning myself... but once I started booking place, it all fell together and I knew I (we) made the right decision.

I have booked my hall, but I am getting married over half a year before you. I only booked 11 months before my date, so you are absolutely fine. I love this site, but everyone here (me included) is wedding crazy, so I think we are getting everything done super early. Most people don't even start looking at venues until a year before, relax! Besides, all I have done is book the hall, so you are actually ahead of me!

I think you have plenty of time! Figure out what is important to you at your wedding.
We knew in addition to the place, the food had to be amazing. So when we were torn between two places we went to food tastings at both. At TC the food was AMAZING!!! At the other place we were thinking of - we thought it was horrible! Right then and there our decision was made.
Think about what you want for your special day and don't rush into anything you are not 100% sure of!

This!!!! I agree. Take your time. Your not even at your one year mark yet. I already passed my one year mark and the only things i've booked is RH, DJ and Photos. I haven't booked anything else. Some girls on here are practically done planning their wedding while others are just starting. don't feel overwhelmed.

i agree, you have time. maybe do tastings at both to narrow it down ~ FH and I did this w/ 2 places and chose the hall where we preferred the food
