Any other opinions on Fox Hollow?

I have my wedding booked for April of 2003 at the Fox Hollow. I've done searches on this site which have raved about the place and even friends and neighbors of mine have been to weddings there and loved them. In one of my other posts on this site, someone suggested that the food at Fox Hollow is awful and she didn't like the way they handled things. I'm just curious to hear some other good and/or bad stories about the place. Regardless of what anyone says, I am still happy with my decision, but I thought if there were some problems it would be helpful to know so they can be avoided at our weddings. :)

Any other opinions on Fox Hollow?

You have to remember that some people aren't happy and some places have off days. I don't like the food at Fox Hollow but I wouldn't say it is horrible. If your talking about Horrible.. I would say the Townhouse in Huntingtion!! I think the Fox Hollow is nice and if they give you the attention you deserve don't fear. I personally have picked the Imperial Manor, different family members and myself stop in all the time and are always welcome. I love my DJ, I picked Diamond Cut and the owner of the Imperial Manor's son is having his reception there in a few months and he picked diamond cut along with a band. And the owner invited us to stop by and see if we really like them, and how they do things. I have no fear at all in my hall. I have tested there food and loved it. If you feel happy, don't worry about it! People always fine something to complain about. Just smile and have fun, have great music and dance the night away!!! Best Wishes! Laurie

I Booked the Fox Hollow too

Do not waste a second worrying about the food at Fox Hollow. Every person I have spoken to about them says one of two things 'They give such a beautiful affair' and 'The food is excellent.' Scotto Brothers are known for their food. I have been too other Scotto Brother affairs and again, the food was awesome. My FH and I eat at the Fox Hollow all the time as we have always liked the restaurant there. Why don't you too go out to eat there and put your mind at ease? What really matters is what you think. Remember, one person's hamburger may be another's filet mignon.

Advice for Mishy and other brides

I have been to a number of affairs at Fox Hollow and they have all been nice.A little advice. Please take it the right way. Don't solicit the opinions of people in matters they cannot help you. The clergy question is one example. Apparantly you already have a date so why bother people with the question about whether to have the wedding on Fri. nite? You already booked it! You are marrying out of your faith so who are you thinking the day of the wedding is going to offend who would not already be offended? Those people won't be there anyway. Secondly, if you really want a rabbi, why haven't you called around. Call Flowerfield. They have a local rabbi on their list who specializes in interfaith and travels nassau/suffolk. He was highly recommended by several places. I have the list at home, but why don't you just give them a call? I wish you lots of luck. Just be happy and have a good time!

Fox Hollow

I wouldn't worry about the Fox Hollow...I have been there a few times and the food was never bad... It really depends who you talk to. 50% of the people at my cousins wedding at an upscale hall in CT got food poisoning...My FH loved Fox Hollow at his friends wedding and couldn't stop raving about the food. My sister doesn't like it b/c as a photo asst she felt non-house vendors weren't treated well...so if you are happy so be it... SOmeone gave me advice and I will pass it on...Whatever you decide on, you will be excited that you decided that way.

Any other opinions on Fox Hollow?

My sister got married there and it was great. The food was really good. I went to a wedding there last weekend and I wasn't crazy about the food. I also think that they have a lot things going on at once. Overall, The food is good, the rooms are very nice, and I never have heard of anyone having a bad experience there. Hope this helps!

Any other opinions on Fox Hollow?

I am getting married at the Fox Hollow next year. My family has had numerous events held at the Fox Hollow. The food and service were excellent at all of these events. I believe people need to put their forks down and stop trying to be food critics. Please understand that weddings are such important events; by giving your opinions you are only hurting people's feelings, especially if they have already booked their affair at this location.

Any other opinions on Fox Hollow? SueB - well said

Well said SueB. I was just thinking that myself, what exactly makes people say food was awfu? I was about to put a post asking what people mean when they say it was awful but then I came to the realization that everyone has their own opinions on certain things, and although someone may said the food stinks somewhere, it may seem like the best food to others. I'm glad to hear that all the events you've attended at Fox Hollow have been wonderful. I'm going tonight to meet with Gina. Can't wait to get there just to look at the rooms again, now that they'll be 'ours' for one night in April of 2003, it will probably feel different looking at them again. Thanks for your reply. :)
