Any other places rent their space for a full day - besides Oheka

FI is in love with the idea of renting a space for a full day to have our wedding. His family parties tend to last for well over 6 hours and that is just birthday parties and house warmings so far.

Oheka is the only place I know of that rents the space for a full day 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (but then there is that pesky $11K site fee for 2005).

Any others w/o such high site fees (or no site fees)?

Thank you. Do you know site fees? Rental hours?

We have narrowed down the list from almost 250 (now that FI is seeing the figures). We are down to 150 max.

Bourne is $3,995 for the site fee - one note you have to finish by midnight - i am having 6 hour affair plus one hour of hospitality before
Bourne maxes out around 250 - my guarantee is 200 but i am not sure if that is normal or higher than normal to get a lower price - i don't know my price per head specfically but www.lessings.com gives idea of pricing and menus

the hours are determined in your contract - so you have to talk to them

it still might be cheaper to add more time on at a catering hall - but the mansions are nice because you can move around other rooms

I like the idea of having a place for the full day too but recalled a recent mansion wedding (not NY) and it was a 4 hour affair plus one hour of over time was added. We ran out of the place at 11:59 p.m.

The ceremony was on site at 7 p.m., then cocktails for a bit and then dinner. It went by too fast.

ETA - it was a 7 - 11 p.m rental in high season was $8500 & $2K for the hour of overtime. That did not include tables or chairs either. Tables were $10 each and charis were $7 each - just to use them (not for chair covers). with staff, prep and cleaning it was about $15K for the rental alone - no food.

Our wedding starts at 6:30 and we can arrive at 3:30. So I guess we'll be there from about 3 to midnight. We have a lot of out of town guests that will be coming with us and they offered to have some sandwiches and refreshments for us while we take pictures. It'll end up being about 35 people so I though that was kind of nice.
No site fee just the normal catering charge.

Check out the 'wedding sites and services' webpage (sorry, I don't have a more exact URL) they alsways list all the places and tehir site fees.

Check hotels- lots rent their ballroom for the day.

Oh and Sports Plus has a ballroom also and I know they rent it out without catering! Their in Lake Grove.

You might want to look into harrison house. They aren't quite as expensive as Oheka, but they're not cheap either. I'm not sure if they rent for the entire day, but they have guest rooms, and I believe they have a bar, so you could extend your party if you would like.
