Wondering if this is nationwide or something but the kids were just NUTS today...didn't matter what age. Although my first graders this morning were the best of the bunch...2nds terrible, 4ths terrible (THAT I can't stand)....yikes!
Please tell me I'm not alone! I virtually have no voice and I got one more day to go for the week!

not so much my kids....my kids are always pains in the butt....but I know lately my fiance's kids are much worse than normal. Good luck tomorrow Tara....at least they'll be different classes tomorrow. That's what keeps me going sometimes! Thursdays are usually my worst day. Just keep focusing on the GOOD class you had for the day!

What does your FH teach? Poor guy!!!
It's really kinda funny- I have classes where I think, damn I love teaching. And then others where I want to run SCREAMING! And I think, why the heck do I do this?
Well tomorrow is a whole morning of 5th grade chorus...I see each section for a half hour each. Yeah...5th graders LOVE to sing! What fun I'll have pulling teeth all morning...
But at least it will be FRIDAY and it's one of my easier schedules of the week!!

not so much todya but yesterday they were nuts! My kids were smashing pop tarts in each others faces - running around - and i only have 10 kids in this 1 class. They were totally out of control - i thought they were like that since the Big Test is over

ummmm well i have to say that would be everyday with this crowd i have but i guess today was a lil crazier than usual bc of the snow that fell for TWO FREAKIN SECONDS!!!!!...ok im done....lol

today was insane! One of the worst days- i had about 5 kids crying (i teach 2nd grade) because hurtful words were exchanged by two students- oh and not to mention a fist fight- this was during a cluster -0 go figure

Tara sorry to hear you had such a trying day. My students were rather good even with one of my teacher assistants out sick. Mondays are normally my hard day. The students tend to still be on weekend mode.

i have had a really good week. it was 4 days to begin with and we had a field trip yesterday. today i had 2 absent and thats pretty good since i teach self contained and only have 9 to begin with. but i def. understand with the 'why do i do this' somedays. i was thinking that last week after 2 of my kids (5th graders-who really should be 6th and 7th graders) got into a HUGE brawl after the ELA's and i almost got knocked out. its an up and down kind of job!

my students weren't bad, but that horrible stomach bug has hit my classroom with a vengence, projectile vomit! and then another child got sick b/c he saw the first girl got sick! what an afternoon.

The kids went crazy in the halls today!! I think the sight of snow may have had something to do with it...

thankfully my kids didnt notice the snow until they went out to the bus since it started at like 2 and they get dismissed at 215.

Oh man - I can definitely empathize with the teachers that had a rough day today or even a rough week!! My kids were surprisingly good today (almost TOO good!) but I did get observed by my principal today which was quite nervewracking. However, I thought my lesson went awesome, so I can't really complain. I do feel that my kids have been a lot more chatty since they came back from Christmas break though!! ONLY 5 MORE MONTHS OF SCHOOL!!!
P.S. - the projectile vomit thing - GROSS!!! I swear that is my worst fear as a teacher that some kid is going to vomit all over my classroom

my kids were INSANE! we had two snow days here (yeah texans not being able to handle cold weather) and monday off b/c of mlk so they were absolutely crazy! we even had one kid who decided today that when he got mad/didn't get his way he'd wet himself (i teach 3 year olds). fun stuff...
