I'll be 36 when I get married in August. Even though I probably looked better in my 20s...I feel like a better person in my 30s. Much more confident.

Whoa! Started feeling old. Now feel better - 38 here.

Can't imagine being married in my twenties. (I was just way too much of a party girl back then).

Waited a long time to find Mr. Right. Kissed a lot of really nasty frogs! But, wouldn't have changed a thing. Had to get a few warts before I could appreciate the great one I finally found!

For those older brides (older than 35) - are you guys doing anything 'different?'

We don't want the the traditional wedding. We are trying to make it more of a party than a traditional wedding.

We aren't going to be announced (not having the bridal party announced either) when we come in. Starting the wedding with our dance. Just having the band announce that we are dancing.

Also, not sure if we are doing 'father-daughter dance' My dad might be disappointed but I really do think it is hokey.

Definitely not doing bouquet toss or garter toss.

Not doing big cake cutting - just going to cut the cake off to the side - not a big huge announcement.

We are having an international coffee bar for dessert and will have a cigar bar for an hour

Best man doesn't like to speak in public so doesn't want to do a toast - so probably won't have anyone doing toasts either. - Not sure of this.

Anyone have any other suggestions? Ideas?
