Any Prof. Teeth Whitenees out there? (Or prospects?)

I'm def. getting my teeth whitened before the big day in June

I was wondering WHEN I should go? How many months before? Any girls do it before or have heard the time frame that would be good? I want it NOW, but its like 5.5 months away

I will have to stop the coffee before work daily obviously too

i would do about a month before

also if you're sensitive start using sensydone toothpaste it will help oh and i would take a pain killer so you're not unconformable

Yes, supposedly it does make your teeth extremely sensitive and you can be in a lot of pain. I looked into the procedure and decided that it wasn't worth the money and the aggravation, and that the white strips work good enough.

I had mine done a couple of years ago as part of a whole dental makeover.

Yes, it's uncomfortable. Painful even. Sensodyne for a couple of weeks before and after helps. For about 2 days after I got it done it was like cold on cavities but on the front of my teeth. Advil and/or Tylenol took the edge off.

However, it was so totally worth it!

yea a little it wont be the best way you're going to spend your hour...you have to have a lot of stuff in your mouth and keep it open for an hour (with the help of something)...but definitely start using the toothpaste and take the pain killers

also once you're done for 24 hours you cant have anything with color

Test it first!! I tried it once and found out I have calcium deposits (this means my teeth look like leopard print when whitened). I had to drink black tea for 3 days to recover. HTH

happy you asked this question, hehe! i am actually thinking of doing the same and i was thinking of prolly doing mine about 2 months before the wedding day! is that too soon or is that a good time frame? :) i did hear its pretty uncomfortable getting this procedure done and even after you are in pain and all! but i guess its worth it after if its going to be a big change and if it really works and you notice a BIG difference! i really hope it does or else than ill be very upset if i see it didnt do much for me! does anyone know the outcome of it?? is it worth it and does it really work with making you're teeth all nice and white?? if anyone did it please let me know if it is a BIG difference!

also around how much is it?? i havent really researched for the price of it so im just wondering to have an idea!

I heard that it makes your teech even more sensitive...so therefore I'm not doing it...they are sensitive enough! LOL. I'm going to do the aquafresh trays...starting next week. And FH will be doing it with me...I want his teeth as sparkley as mine. And, I've seen those things do WONDERS just so you know. My friend had braces...and when she got them off she used the trays and they look PERFECT!

I've done it twice, it was uncomfortable while doing it, especially since my dentist was my dad's best man and is NUTS and tried to make me laugh the whole time. But it didn't make my teeth sensitive for more then a day.

The Crest White Strips however kill my teeth. I can't use them.

Oh and I did it two weeks before a wedding I was in, because I went to get them cleaned and he whitened them for me for free. It was perfect actually, they looked great at the wedding and not to white.

My dentist is doing if for me before the wedding. She has a brand new machine which she says should be a lot better then anything they were using in the past and shouldlnt cause as much pain after. Maybe see if your dentist has the most updated technology as well. I'm getting it done a month before I think. She is also giving me a whitening tray to upkeep the whiteness of my teeth.

yea I had looked into this a few months back, but Ireally didnt want to deal with the aggrevation. My friend told me she used the crest white strips and her teeth look great, plus its a lot cheaper

Careful, sometimes those gels, pastes and strips are just as bad on your teeth. I used Crest White Strips and couldn't eat anything cold or hot, my teeth were so sensitive.

Yet I had no problem with teeth whitening.

I'm definitely getting whitening done probably 3-4 weeks before the wedding.
