Any REALLY inexpensive halls??

Original post by DnY

Are there any halls for under 100pp? Doesn't matter what time of year, winter, fall, and I could do a Sunday or daytime wedding to keep cost down. 55-65 per plate would be ideal. Are there any NICE places for this amount of money?

Only Fall in love with Winter Garden Pavillion if you have 100 people minimum. They will absolutely not do less than that unless it is 3 months prior to the event that ou book. I know because I was there just 2 weeks ago and the manager told me. So I had to fall out of love with that room because I am having a small wedding of 50-60 people.

becareful with fox hollow and leanords of great neck they are like wedding factory with 3 different weddings going on at the same time...
i went to a sweet 16 at leanords and the food was cold the service was poor it was not a good impression at all
i checked out fox hollow and there was at least 4 parties going on 2 where weddings and people coming in to check out the place and it was very stressful exactly like a factory...and to top it off there was a huge spider web and a ledge of dust right in the lobby where guest were walking in as if they didnt clean the place before the days events
i would rather pay a little more then suffer on service and cleanliness
good luck

Maybe you could try a private room of a restaurant or a site like an art gallery.

We were going to have our wedding in an art gallery but that would actually be more expensive, b/c you'd have to find a caterer, chair & table rental... and a site fee.

i have been to the Fox Hollow a sh*t ton of times and dirty is not something i would ever call it.

it's true they have more than one event going on, but a LOT of places have more than one event going on. When i go there to talk to BM's or to make payments or anything they do not let me near the rooms with events going on.
They do not allow you to 'peak in' on the rooms while the events are going on.

Not to sound like a crazy bridezilla, but i think the comment about 'spending more' is a little ridiculous. The Fox Hollow is NOT some cheap hole in the wall place.

Any other Fox Hollow brides don't let this review upset you.

Oh, and Leonards and the Fox Hollow are not the only venues with more than one event going on. If that is a major complaint, mention the other venues that do this as well.

You know, I'm getting married at the Fox Hollow and I know the other two brides who are getting married on my day...I see it as a big party of LIW '08ers than a wedding factory!

Be careful what you say and how you say things on these boards. Imagine if someone said something like that about YOUR hall.

As far as Leonards....DH and I visited and although it wasnt for us, A close family friend got married there a few years back and loved it! Fox Hollow I never saw in person, but I hear many many wonderful things about them and I know several ladies who got married there and had wonderful weddings. Check the review board for more info on them. Yes, both of these halls have more than one evernt at a time. But MOST halls do. Mine did also. We could have had up to 2 weddings at a time at CLM. Luckily, there was no other wedding that day, but even if there was, I would have never even seen the other one going on. On your day, your so caught up in you wedding and your new hubby, that you dont even notice the other stuff going on around you. So, multiple weddings at a time are not as big of a deal as one may think.

I have to agree....there are so many venues that have more than one wedding at a time. If you don't like it then you just don't pick one of those halls. Simple as that! I had mine at Jericho Terrace and I knew there were going to be other weddings going on. It didn't bother me one bit. As a matter a fact, guests from other parties were coming up to me to tell me how much they loved my dress!
I really don't think its fair to say that just because there was dust and a spider web that it means it is cheap. Thats just ridiculous. Especially places like Leonards and Fox Hollow. They are two of the most popular RH and if that were the case, I doubt there would be so many brides booking with them.
