Any reception halls in LI that are similar to Chateau Briand??
I'm looking for that elegant feel mixed with the lounge/party vibe...beautiful grounds, beautiful curb appeal,beautiful ballroom with updated decor...my brother had his wedding there last year and I LOVED it...been searching for a RH like it, but have no luck...some places just have the elegance, but missing other components..I'm beginning to feel defeated bc I havent found a place like it yet! Plus I love the surprise entrance, which not too many places have AND embody the feel I'm looking for....ughhhh!!! I've visited Sand Castle,Jericho Terrace,The Inn @NHP,Woodbury CC,CrestHollow CC, Bridgeview YC, North Ritz, and Russo's...I've checked many other places online, but if the online pics dont show what I'm looking for I dont bother to visit bc I dont want to drive myself and FH insane (hes been tagging along!) I was told the Metropolitan, but I dont think its what I'm looking for...Any other suggestions?? Thanks!

What about Chateau La Mer?? or Terrace on the Park (it's is in Queens however)

Maybe the Allegria Hotel? They are relatively new and the ballroom is breathtaking.

Chateau La Mer is too far (Suffolk County) I'm not certain if Terrace will have what I'm looking for...and I LOOOVE Chateau Briand but unfortunately my brother had his wedding there last yr and wanted to bring my fam to a different location, plus everyone has seen the surprise entrance the room we would want already! If it wasnt for that, I think we wouldve chose CB hands down...

I know its not in Nassau ...but East Wind has beautiful grounds, great food, and the estate room was just re-done (painting, curtains, etc) very neutral colors and very elegant. Dont go by the pictures online for it though because they are outdated like woah!

What about Russo's on the Bay? It's in queens, but they have a surprise entrance, too!

I think if you love CB it's great to give them your family's repeat business. It may also work to your advantage. You have to be happy and while the venue may be the same, the decor, the players, etc will not be the same. You give it your own personal touch to make it unique.

Allegria hotel would prob have the vibe you are looking for. I considered it but it was out of my budget. It has a south beach feel.
Another option if you are willing to head to westchester is VIP in New Rochelle. I loved them. You have one whole side of the venue to yourself. They do restaurant style seating where each guest is seated at dinner by the hostess. The bridal suite is pretty nice. They can set up a lounge (with the white couches and comfy chairs) for you on one side of the ballroom by the fireplace. I loved the high ceilings in the ballroom and the decor is classy, but not stodgy.
CB's decor is hard to match in NY b/c of the tropical lounge. The ballroom appearance you can find elsewhere.

Well if I had my wedding at CB alot of teh same fam members would be there and they would expect the same surprise entrance and I wanted some place different..Im sure it wouldve worked to my advantage though!
