Any recommendations??

Unfortunately our honeymoon has been put on hold for an unknown amout of time. We still want to have a mini honeymoon thats driving distance. Not poconos cause we've already done that. Any suggestions would be great thanks!

I would recommend Newport, RI. It's driving distance, but it's nicer to take the ferry from Orient and drive from New London, and it breaks up the monotony of the trip.

I love Block Island. There are amazing B & B's out there and fun to bike around the island and relax

We went to Bposton once for a long weekend and had a great time! Also it can be expensive but it is always fun to spend the weekend in a nice hotel in manhattan! HTH!

it depends on what you enjoy doing. If you like fun and adventure...you could take a long weekend at Hershey Park and go to Dorney Park, too...

that would be my ideal mini-honeymoon lol...im such a geek

Or you can go out to the East End--Montauk! I know a couple that did that for a couple of days after they got married. It's beautiful out there, PLUS on the way home, you can make a detour into North Fork wine country!!!

You could go to Atlantic City or once of the CT casinos for a few nights. CT also has Mystic which is a nice town to spend a few days in, especially during that time of year.

It may be a long ride, but you can always try Niagara Falls.....

I LOOOOVE Newport!! I actually have to go to a wedding there in August. It's beautiful and there is so much to do. I also recommend Boston.

If you go on the food network's website, there is a show called Giada's Weekend Getaways and they list places to eat and things to do in different cities across the country.

There are always cheap deals going on for flights to Florida. There you can do South Beach (my favorite!), Fort Lauderdale, Naples, or Key West.

I actually lived in Montauk for 5 years and my mom lives there so I def don't want to go there but it is beautiful. Believe it or not my fiance is such a Yankee fan that he will not go to Boston! Is that rediculous or what!

We want to go somewhere beachy, good restaurants maybe a spa.

Any suggestions on where to stay in Newport?

Maine was the most amazing place i have been in the US. I love it there. Or you can take a ride to Canada, niagara falls or montreal... I want to go to montreal so bad lol.

You can always head south maybe the carolinas for some beaches. Not sure how far of a drive you are looking for.

My FH won't go to Boston either...He downright refuses...also a huge Yankee fan...It is totally ridiculous!

It a looong drive, but the Outer Banks of North Carolina are beautiful and very reasonably priced. Its kinda like Fire Island but larger.

Oh! My parents drove to Maine on their Honeymoon and LOVED it there. They stayed in a few different bed and breakfasts on different beaches.
