Can anyone suggest a good place to host a shower for aprox 70 people. If you know any prices per person, that would help as well. Thanks!

Re: Any recommendations for a shower?
Try the Irish Coffee Pub- they do a great job & can certainly accomodate 70 people. They were about $27pp.
Also other nice shower locations are: Pompei in W. Hempstead, Danfords in Port Jeff, or the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook.

Mims in Roslyn Heights --- we just had our engagement party there and it was fantastic! We worked with Barbara and she met every one of our requests ...

We threw my parents a suprise 40th anniversary party at the 7th Street Cafe and it was lovely.
We were downstairs, though, where there were no windows. I found that to be a drawback.
ETA - The food was wonderful, though, as was the service. I think they might rent out the upstairs for over a certain number of people on certain days/times... not sure, though!

Re: Any recommendations for a shower?
I had my engagement party at Pompei in West Hempstead. My MOH had her sister's Baby shower there 2 years eariler. They are wonderful! The food is amazing, and they have a room that is encolsed in glass, and is perfect for a bridal shower. You should check them out. Not sure exactly what they would charge for a bridal shower, but for my engagement party on a saturday evening during peek party season, I paid with tax and tip included, 55 pp, for a 5 hr party, with a mini cocktail hour incluced. It was great!

We're doing our rd at Papa Joe's in Deer Park - great food, and prices are unbeatable!
They have a pretty room you can use for that many people....
