Re: Any recommendations on where to get shoes for wedding day?

Sandy's Shoes in Massapequa Park on Sunrise Hwy. It's right across from the Massapequa Park train station. The help was truly helpful, and I felt they had a great selection. Louise is the lady that helped me, and I was amazed how she remembered which shoes I had already tried, especially since she had several other people trying shoes at the same time.

4878 Sunrise Hwy

Another vote for DSW

Love this place!!

There's one on Old Country Road in Carle Place...on the same side of the road as Chateau Briand...across from AVIS. Also one on Queens Blvd., on the lower level of that round building that used to be Macys. Heard there's one on Jericho in Huntington-not sure exactly where.

Highly recommend-and not just for wedding shoes!

I know you all think I'm crazy..

No, I'm not crazy! Try Payless shoes. My bridal salon and MOH told me to go there. I thought it would be a waste of my time. I found the most comfortable shoes there. Saw almost the same exact style at a shoe store and they were $95!! Got mine for $38 and there is a $2 coupon if you check their web sight!
Good luck!

If you live in Suffolk Cty, try Casa Di Mario in Patchogue...such a wide selection of bridal shoes and the staff was so helpful!

Re: Any recommendations on where to get shoes for wedding day?

I really got lucky and found a beautiful pair of white strappy satin sandals at Target. I went to the one in Westbury--I've seen a few more pairs of them there!!
And the best part is-I paid $20.00 for mine but they're now on sale for $13.90.

shoes

Another vote for Casa di Mario in Patchogue! They have a great selection! I actually bought the same pair of shoes for my wedding and the three weddings I've been in this year. It's usually pretty busy, but the people are pretty helpful and you'll find a wide variety of shoes there.

Re: shoes

I agree with jennbaby the DSW in Queens (the old Macy's building) had a very bad selection of wedding shoes. (I did find a lovely pair of brown AK sandals though!)

Re: Any recommendations on where to get shoes for wedding day?

When I went looking for shoes I went to EVERY single place (minus Payless) that everyone has mentioned and I found that they mostly carry the same stuff and i was VERY disappointed with most of these stores. I did buy a pair of shoes at Sandy's (they weren't THAT friendly to me either) for my friend's wedding, but I found NOTHING I wanted to wear with my wedding dress. I finally went to Varone's Shoes in Sayville & I hit the Jackpot!! They have a huge selection of REALLY nice (good quality) shoes, everything from Dyeables to Grace shoes, plus a lot of accessories too! I bought my shoes, purse, stockings, gloves and jewelery there! Give them a try: Main street in Sayville their number is: 631-567-3282, it's a really cute town too!
