Any reviews on Sandals in Jamaica?

DH and I want to go for our 1st anniversary for about 4 nights. I know there are about 4 Sandals in Jamaica. Any feedback on any of them would be great, we don't know which one to go to.

Thanks!

I heard the one in Montego Bay is right by the airport and ypu can hear the airplanes going by. FH and I booked our honeymoon at the Sandals Ocho Rios Grande resort. You can go to www.tripadvisor.com for reviews on any of the sandals resorts

I did do that. It helps, but you really don't knwo who is posting them, thats why I thought I'd ask here.

I've heard that about the Montego Bay one also. But the Negril and Ocho Rios, people either absolutely love it or hate it (on the trip advisor site), I feel like there should be some medium

Yeah I understand. I know what you mean about some people hate it some people love it. I guess it depends on what your expectations are - If you are looking for a high class 5 star hotel stay, then I would think you would be disappointed. If you guys just want something low key and romatic then maybe Sandals would work for you . Just one thing to point out - if you choose Ocho rios you would have to fly into Montego Bay airport and take a two hour bus ride to the resort or you could pay extra ( like $80 pp each way) and take a little plane over to Ocho rios.

We just went to Superclubs Grand Lido Braco in Montego Bay, not a sandals, but i think they are related companies. It was a bit of a bus ride, but it was included in the package cost.

Very relaxing, all inclusive vacation. Thoroughly recommend it!

Have fun!

We went to Couples Swept Away in Negril--I think it was much more my style than Sandals-- check it out . We LOVED it!!!! I hadn't heard a bad thing about it before or since.

I don't plan on booking right away, maybe not even for a few months, but we wanted to stay at Sandals b/c we stayed at the one in St. Lucia and Antigua for our HM and we have points that we can use for a free night or two.

I know what the Sandals resorts are about, but just didn't know out of all the ones in Jamaica which one to go to.

I also heard about the bus to Negril to. Is Negril closer to Monetgo Bay the Ocho Rios?

We were booked in Negril for our HM but got moved because of all the damage from the hurricanes last year.

We wound up in Ocho Rios and absolutely loved it. We also visited Dunns River which was very nice.

The difference, IMO is Ocho Rios is more quaint and a garden like setting...Dunns River is much more like a big resort. It was loud and like one big party there during the day.

FM me if you want more info...
