Re: Any Staten Island Girl who work in the city
I live in Staten Island and work in Brooklyn. DH works in Manhattan. He drives me to work every morning and then takes the train. My commute is about 45 minutes, and then his is an extra hour to the City. FM me for more info.

Re: Any Staten Island Girl who work in the city
My SIL lives on Staten Island and works in Manhattan on Park Ave & 46th Street. She takes the express bus and says it takes her about 1 1/2 hours or so. It is a long commute. You can also take the ferry to downtown Manhattan and then get on a train. Anyway you look at it it is a long commute.

Re: Any Staten Island Girl who work in the city
my DH takes the express bus from the south shore of staten island into downtown - it takes him anywhere from 45 mins to 2 hours, i guess on average 1 hr 30 mins.....i know going to midtown was a lot worse and that used to take him even longer.....midland is north shore so that lessens the commute a little.....

Re: Any Staten Island Girl who work in the city
I lived in Midland Beach and worked on 23rd and Park for two years. I would take the Express bus to lower Manhattan and then take the train uptown. It took me about 45 min to an hour all told. I would NOT recommend taking the bus all the way to midtown. You can ride in special bus lanes on the highways, but in Manhattan itself you're fighting traffic the whole way uptown.
Hope that helped!

Re: Any Staten Island Girl who work in the city
OMG 45 minutes would cut down my ride by half hour. I was stressed about the commute.
We are currently looking in Midland beach and south beach.
