Any sub $80/pp (inc tax+gratuity) indoor & outdoor venues?

Hi Brides! I'm actually the Groom, but that section is pretty, uh, low-key.

Anywho, the Bride to be and myself have been shopping around and much to our dismay, a lot of these venues are rather pricey. We're looking for a venue in the LI area that fits our needs properly, there are just so many out there. - and to be honest, I feel guilt asking for a tasting at these places. Hopefully some of you more knowledge Brides can help!

We're looking for a venue that has a picturesque outdoor ceremony area and picturesque outdoor cocktail hour. The reception is looking to be indoor, hopefully with high ceilings.

Guests: 115-130
Price per person: $80 after tax and gratuity
Day: Friday, evening
Date: April/May/Sept/October (clearly we're flexible here)

If we can think of anything else, I'll update.

Thanks in advance!

I am paying $78.50 PP after taxes, etc at Sans Souci for a Day wedding

I think they can seat 140

Try Westbury Manor, we got them to lower their cost to $85.95 for a Sunday night in April 2012 (inc taxes and gratuity). It's a bit higher than $80 but when you do the math it's only $600-$700 more in total. We're getting so much with it and their minimum is only 80 guests.
For a Saturday during the day in April the price was $83.

The pavilion at sunken meadow is on the beach and I think it state owned so it might be more affordable.

Definitely take a look at the Riviera in Massapequa. I'm not sure what the pricing is like for a Friday evening, since mine is a Saturday evening in the summer, but I do believe its around that price! And the outdoor area is stunning. Pics in my album under 'wedding stuff' if you want to take a look!

hmmmm I don't know what the pricing is for friday, but Swan Club in roslyn harbor is around there, especially if you're flexible

they have nice outdoor area, can do a ceremony outdoors, and is on water.

Westbury Manor and San Suci are both beautiful and probably within the price range you are looking for.

My best friend got married at westbury manor and the cocktail hour was out side and it was absolutely beautiful!

Westbury Manor. There pricing was reasonable and neg. with them. We got extra food through in and the grounds to take pictures and have the ceremony are amazing. (its the reason we booked with them)

Yes! I second this suggestion. We're at $80 pp for the Sunday night of Labor Day weekend. And that includes tax/gratuity and 1 add-on (or $5 off pp).

does this price also include service fees, because that can tack on another 20%

Re: Any sub $80/pp (inc tax+gratuity) indoor & outdoor venues?

Thanks for all the help thus far.

So far we've checked out Westbury Manor. It was very close to exactly what we were looking for but it was over the budget for the time/day we're looking at. I don't have the numbers in front of me but I believe it would have been about $95/pp as opposed to $80/pp.

The person we met with strongly suggested they were base prices and it could be worked with, but in comparison to Coral House ($83/pp), the packages were very different.

For example, CH offered all the linen's in the color my fiance wants while Westbury didn't have that specific color (purple/lavender). CH also offered small floral center pieces in the price - better than nothing. The cakes at Westbury were shown in all white and very generic looking - when I asked if they could do different colors she kinda looked at me weird, as if that wasn't a regular request.

We're planning on checking out Swan Club, Fox Hollow, Leonards, and Cheatu I believe before deciding on a place. We're also meeting with a wedding planner on Friday to see what the pricing would look like for something slightly offbeat, not at a hall.

I'll keep everyone posted~

Def here. They have kind of off season pricing those months. So you can get a friday evening for around like $70 pp.
