I am looking for a budget friendly photographer. Its scary how expensive photographers are (even tho it might be worth it) I can use couple of them hundreds and invest it in something else. I just graduated from school and currently looking for a job and my FH is the only one working. My mom is helping a little...
I want good quality photos. Photojournalistic style but affordable. If it starts at 2k then it's not for me!

I found a post on here and someone listed these 2 vendors as reasonably priced photographers. Might be worth checking them out.
try Photos of the Heart they have a low cost option where you don't have to commit to buying a bunch of albums and pay up front for them, you can just pay for the photography and the proofs and then after your wedding decide about buying albums.

Try HiLite Studios http://www.hilitestudios.com/
they did my sister's wedding, they are more traditional style wise but you can't beat the price. I copied the blurb of the package I think fits what you might be looking for:
Package 7: This INCREDIBLE PACKAGE Includes All Day Coverage with 2-Photographers ( 1 for traditional & 'MUST HAVE' shots and 1 for Photo Journalism ) Including 300 to 400 - 4x6 Photos In an Album. This Package has 'The Best of Both Worlds' due to having the Photo Journalism Shots Taken: These are the most elusive behind the scenes shots, spontaneous, and unplanned moments, mostly overlooked and forever lost that we can now capture ( please see our slideshow on our homepage to see these exact shots) A Truly Amazing Value Package at ONLY $1395!

We nixed albums and engagement pics. I like making our own albums (I do it for a lot of things) and didn't want to spend extra for engagement pics. Some places won't reduce the cost if you opt out of those, or some places won't even let you.
Try calling Gil from Fade to Black. He really worked with us and I basically turned him into my wedding planner - he's very knowledgeable with all things weddings.
