Any suggestions for church readings?

Hi I am having a hard time finding a religious reading that fits well with our personalities. I would really like to avoid the traditional, 'Love is patient, Love is kind.' Any suggestions? Thank you.

Any suggestions for church readings?

My church gave us a whole list of readings. I wanted to avoid the Love is patient, love is kind too, but Corinthians is actually the reading we wound up picking anyway. Perhaps your church has a list they can give you for some ideas. We are doing one reading from the bible (Corinthians) and a poem as well.

Matthew 19:4-6 We`re using that one and Corinthians. Others our church recommended: Genesis 1:26-31 Genesis 2:18-24 Song of Solomon 2:10-13 Song of Solomon 8:7 Isaiah 63:7-9 Romans 12:1-2 Ephesians 5:21-33 John 2:1-10 John 15:9-12
