Any suggestions for church readings?

Hi

I am having a hard time finding a religious reading that fits well with our personalities.
I would really like to avoid the traditional, 'Love is patient, Love is kind.' Any suggestions?

My church gave us a whole list of readings. I wanted to avoid the Love is patient, love is kind too, but Corinthians is actually the reading we wound up picking anyway.

Perhaps your church has a list they can give you for some ideas.

We are doing one reading from the bible (Corinthians) and a poem as well.
