Re: Any teachers?
I'm a high school health and PE teacher in suffolk county. I'm getting married at the end of June...then we're off to a loooong honeymoon right after. Still not sure where yet???????? I definitely wanted to get married during the summer so I wouldn't have to wait for the honeymoon...its too exciting!!!

Re: Any teachers?
Hofstra has a great program, its very small and personal, I graduated with my MS in '04!
also LIU - CW Post, LIU - Brooklyn, NYIT, Queens College, NYU, Fordham, and Brooklyn College all have guidance programs. It's a 60-credit masters. Keep in mind the job market is VERY competitive IMO. I know four people that graduated with me that are still job hunting!

Re: Any teachers?
I don't want to discourage you. I LOVE my job, and wouldn't trade it for anything (except a free wedding, lol). And your SpEd background would definitely help when you're looking for jobs. Maybe shadow a counselor for a week to get a taste of what they do?
Reading and literacy are useful degrees, and would line up nicely with what you do already. I'd go for an administration degree. Even if you don't use it right away, it gives you options for the future.

Re: Any teachers?
That is exactly what I was thinking. Literacy, Special ED, Couseling are all common. I want to do something that will actually benefit my career. Seeing as I have the sped already...I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!!
