Hi Noraleigh,
Yes, I am having my reception the day after yours, as a matter of fact! We booked about a month ago, and I am tres relieved...no more visits to reception sites or banquet managers extoling the virtues of strawberries and champagne!!
I really am taken with the Thatched Cottage's cozier, 'funkier' feel. (Pina Colatas & Margaritas to start!) The 'on the water' is also a plus.
Will you be in the upstairs or downstairs room?
Photos and feedback on the Cottage would be much appreciated!

I went to a wedding there. I really liked it. We had a nice time. I remember thinking how pretty it was with the lake and the gardens.

I'm getting married there and could not be happier. I love it. I have heard nothing but great things from a few people I know. Heard the food and service were wonderful. Good luck!

OOH I'm so excited! We haven't actually booked it yet!
Went yesterday & fell in love.
Taking FI Tuesday hopefully to book it!
Hope no one books the date we want!

We are also getting married at the Thatched Cottage. I cannot wait to go back this summer and see what the plantings will be like next summer. The grounds are beautiful and the food is delicious! We were there on Mother's Day to show my FI parents and grandmother. Even they liked it!

is there beach there, i am going to go take a look at it, i know it is on the water but is there sand anywhere, me and my FH want beach pics, like with no shoes and lounge chairs and stuff, fun and different, if anyone knows any places on a beach, let me know, i went to crescent and sail harbor and i am going this weekend to new rochelle to check out the strip out there.

No beach...it's on the bay but it looks more like a lake.

I'm so excited we signed for Oct.7!!!! We decided not get married there b/c I'm uneasy with having to take the pics before.

HI there- I got married there october 12 04. They did a wonderful job. eveyone loved the food and the bridal attendant was so helpful. we got beautiful pictures there too! if you have any questions at all feel free to reply, etc. cake linens, etc... It was the best day of my life!!!!Good luck Marissa
