Both have good reputations. We went to Rolling Pin first and they were EXTREmely rude. We knew we had to make an appointment, but wanted to know if we could ask how much $ the cakes range from. We were told you can ask your questiuons when you set up an appointment, and then she abruptly went to the next customer. We told them they just lost a sale. I won't be back.
We then went to create a cake and they were great. We booked it then.

If you are ordering cookies as well, you can haggle down the price per pound. Good Luck!

They are both good bakeries. We had our grooms cake done by Rolling Pin. It was very nice and simple. But they did not seem to want to help me make it more elaborate -- and did seem a bit short with me.

Create a cake was nice but it was going to cost me too much money.

Thats funny, I thought Rolling Pin was a little rude too. I went in there without an appointment, because I didnt know you needed an appointment at a bakery. The girls behind the counter were snotty. The owner/baker/whoever he is came out and was more courteous, but I think Im going to check out Create a Cake.

FYI - Rolling Pin told me not to come talk to them until it was 4 - 6 weeks before the wedding.
