there is a paloma blanca dress in my album that has a lace top and it looks like its scrunched (3rd pic in my dress album) - it doesn't look that wide.....i LOVE this dress and i want to try it on but i am soooo afriad it will look horrible on me and will totally burst my bubble! hahahaha!

hey! semi-tiny bride here... im 4'11 and a bit heaftier then you (about 120.. what can i say i have monster sized hips) anyway.. DEF go for Empire waist it makes you look so much taller and a-line also gives the illusion of being tall.. i tried on EVERY single style just to make sure i wasnt missing anything.. but really the lady was right and she helped me find a GREAT dress pluss.. i bought like 4 inch platform shoes so im not so midget on the day of

I'm 5'2' and pretty small boned...i actually thought the trumpet shaped looked best on me and made me look taller. I figured with shoes, i'd be 5'5 ish....a more 'normal' height.
But i felt like even a-lines were too big for me and swallowed me up.

I just saw this post and your 07 post....I'm 5'2' and weighed 96lbs the day I got married (I put on some newlywed weight and now weigh the most I've ever weighed 104lbs )! There's plenty of pics in my albums.

paloma blanca dresses would probably work very well on you. Her gowns are a little plainer (plainer in a good way) and mostly a-lines. I almost bought a paloma blanca dress. They're so light you can totally go to the bathroom without the aid of the bm's

I'm 4'11 and 110ish... and I agree with everything the rest of the girls said. I tried on what felt like a million dresses. A narrower a-line will look best on you. Check my album to see mine.
eta: and keep in mind that a little beading/crystals/lace is a LOT on a smaller woman. Find a dress with minimal detailing so it doesn't overpower someone of our stature.

I'm 4'11'' and 95lbs..the dresses that worked for me were modified A-lines (i could only find a few of these though), mermaid, trumpet, and some a-line dresses...i did not like strapless dresses that didn't have a sweetheart neckline because i felt like they cut my torso...here are the two gowns i liked (these are pictures of me in them)

I'm 5'2 and I'm about 123 lbs now and still dieting. FH is 6'3 and 230. I kinda wanna get down to 110 lbs for the wedding but not if it looks gross.
