So my fiance and I are a total night life couple. While we dont like gambiling shows and dancing is our fav. so we have decided on two weeks in vegas. spending the days at the pool, salsa dancing at night, and a trip to the grad canyon.
So i'm curiouse if anyone on here did vegas for their honeymoon, where they stayed...anything. We have never been and there are so many choices for hotels, not really sure which one to pick. thanks for the feedback take care debi

Well i havent had my honeymoon yet, but FH and i are going to do 4-5 days in vegas and then go to tahiti after.
For hotels try: mandalay bay, Wynn, MGM, the palms. See which one best suits your style and what you're looking for

Re: Any Vegas Honeymoons?
My brother and his wife did Vegas for their HM. They loved it. They stayed at the Venetian, which is really elegant and gorgeous, and has some really great lounges and bars. I stayed there for a bachelorette party and it was awesome. You can also stay at The Palms which is cool and trendy. Hard Rock Hotel is also fun, but full of young girls with fake boobs (i really don't mind them, but thought I'd warn you...)There are really sooooo many choices. Since you guys are staying for two weeks maybe you can split it up into two hotels to get a different flavor. I love that your doing Vegas...good for you!!!

Re: Any Vegas Honeymoons?
We kinda HM in Vegas because we eloped to there I guess it kinda counts right? Well we stayed at Treasure Island and had a ball. Everyone there was great to us. We were married at the Flamingo(would def. not recommend to stay though)grounds are beautiful people where great but the place is old, filthy and smells as you walk through the casino. Then we had dinner and a gondola ride in the Venetian and DH fell in love with the place and when we finally get back he def. wants to stay there. We hit every hotel(literally) on the strip and downtown while we were there. I cant vouch for the rooms though but many were beautiful inside. We had the petite suite in TI and it was gorgeous.

Re: Any Vegas Honeymoons?
We're not honeymooning in Vegas, but have been there 4 or 5 times. For a honeymoon, I would recommend one of the well known hotels...
THEhotel at Mandalay Bay - this is an all-suites tower that opened about 4 years ago. It's part of Mandalay Bay, but it has a separate entrance, it's own modern decor, etc. All rooms are actually suites - living room, bedroom, huge master bathroom, and a half bath where the living room is - oh, and a wet bar. Plasma in the living room and in the master bath (regular tv in bedroom). It's modern looking with dark wood, leather, earthy colors, etc. We stayed here when it opened and it was WONDERFUL! The only 'downside' is that it's at the southernmost part of the Strip so if you wanted to walk the strip and see all the hotels etc, it would be more walking - don't know how much of a negative that really is, but wanted to mention it.
The Wynn - this is a really beautiful hotel; we stayed here last year and had a great time. It's not a suite (unless you pay $$$$ for one), but the rooms are large, the bed is a DREAMMMMM to sleep on, service is great. Plasma in the bedroom, laaaarge master bath etc. It's in the mid-north part of the strip, across from the Fashion Show Mall and next to the Venetian and Treasure Island. Their club is called Tryst and I hear it's pretty good.
The Palms - there is a new tower that just opened, but I don't know anything about it. Just wanted to mention that the regular rooms are not very big at all, although the bed was very comfy. The Palms is 2 miles from the Vegas strip (where all the major hotels, casinos, activities are), but it's a quick cab ride to and from. They have GhostBar on the 55th (?) floor and it is a lot of fun on Tuesday and Friday nights. Also have Rain, a club that is nice and, as large as it is, it does get crowded! This means you have a crowded lobby on popular club nights, but it's a fun hotel. If you want to honeymoon, party, and see Vegas, I would probably prefer to stay on the strip because you have more options, and just head over to the Palms on their good party nights.
Paris - nice hotel, very large room, but nothing particularly thta stood out in the room for us. It was VERY nice and pretty, but more traditional in furnishings etc. The Eiffel Tower is there and I hear there are good restaurants. We have a great picture of us in the reception lobby which is my favorite picture of us. BUT, the way that the casino floor, entrance, and paths to walk on are layed out, you have a TON of congestion all the time when you want to go to or from your room. Liked the hotel, nice experience, but we personally would prefer to stay elsewhere.
Bellagio - haven't stayed here, but it's really beautiful. We always go to their garden and see what new display/theme they have going on. And the dancing fountains are a sight to see and not miss. The rooms are not suites (again, unless you pay $$$$ for them), but I hear they are nice. This hotel, like Paris, is smack in the middle of the strip (Paris and Bellagio are right across the strip from one another, with Aladdin being right next to Paris). So if for some reason you want to stay central, these three hotels are good. At the Bellagio, they have the show 'O' which was really great - a wonder to see so many water acrobatics and scenes. They have a popular club (Light, I believe it's called), but haven't been there.
Venetian - again, haven't stayed here, but we've visited it a lot. We've taken both the indoor and the outdoor gondola ride, visited the Wax Museum, casino, etc. It's a gorgeous hotel, and all the rooms are a minimum of 700 square feet (like THEhotel at Mandalay Bay). The difference is that at the Venetian, there is a bedroom area and then a sunken living room - no wall dividing them, just an iron gate (THEhotel has separate rooms). If we go to Vegas for my bachelorette, I might ask to stay here because the rooms are big so we can have 4 girls to a room and not feel like we're cramped. They have Tao and another place to party at, which are supposed to be great.
There are other great hotels to stay at but the most important thing to remember is that in Vegas, you can stay at any hotel and party or explore every other one. So I would stay in a hotel where I'd feel most comfortable relaxing and loving my hubby (a little luxury too???) and then party at the young hot spots.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll have a great time!
ETA: Oh, and you'll love the Grand Canyon! We took a full day tour (you can't do anything less than full day because it's a long ride from the strip) but it was 100% worth it! It felt like a long day, but we wouldn't trade it for anything. Just being at the Grand Canyon and experiencing it was amazing.

We aren't honeymooning in Vegas, but FH and I have been there lots and there are so many nice places to stay. Since you'll be there for 2 weeks, you can most definitely split up your time.
Where to stay would really depend on your preference and what you are looking for.
Mandalay Bay is beautiful. Wynn is new and gorgeous, but pricey. Venetian is elegant and Italian. Bellagio is classy as well. Paris is nice. MGM is grand since it's all about the movies. I also like the Aladdin, which was being re-done when I went last year. For something more trendy, you can stay at The Palms or the Hard Rock Cafe. But if you want something a bit away from the hustle and bustle (the strip is REALLY busy), you can stay at the Green Canyon Ranch which is like a spa resort too.

Re: Any Vegas Honeymoons?
We are totally thinking to go here for our honeymoon we went there once and loved it. We are not the kind of people that can just sit on the beach.
