Any Vets out there?

Any Vets out there?

My friend has a problem with her turtle and she wanted me to post this see what you guys think or if you have any advise.

I have aquatic turtles and my dog accidentally put 1 of the turtles in his mouth. Now the back legs of the turtle are not moving.

The leg hides when you pick it up, but when you put the turtle back into the water the leg comes out but doesn’t move. I don’t see any mark/cuts on the legs. Are the legs broken? I do see a bite mark on the shell but very little.

Edit to say: They are baby turtles...size of a quarter. They are sooo cute.

I'm not a vet, but they sound soooo cute! poor little thing!!!

No Karina...these are not mine. Mine are already big as you saw. This is my best friends turtle. She has only had them for about 2 weeks and this happened yesterday. She is sooo worried.

I would call the vet and talk to him on the phone.. it sounds like maybe something happened to his back legs.. poor little thing...i think he will be fine though..

Do you think the Vet will say anything? Only because it is illegal to have turtles that small so she doesn't want them to take it away or anything like that.
