I posted this on the Brides helping Brides-but i thought i'd post here too!
I orderd a plain sheet cake from BJ's for our engagment party. We just needed something big enough for 60+ people; and that was the best deal. Didn't want to spend $100+ for a decorated cake.
Is there anything i can do to jazz it up?? Any edible wedding things on sale at Michaels or any of the party stores?? Oooh-i have to order my balloons tonight-i wonder if they'll sell anyting there?? Actually-it doesn't even have to be edible. I can always remove the decorations before we cut the cake...

Have you tried Etsy or bakeitpretty.com? There are other sites out there, but just search for cake decorations or edibles and you can find a ton of stuff. I ordered some fondant circles and covered a plain frosted cake for a baby shower. It looked like it came from a high end bakery. Keep it simple or repeat the design. Good luck!
