Re: Any weekday weddings?
i was invited to a Thursday wedding and i was a bit of an inconvenience...i went bc it was a close friend but everyone left early...so all the extras she spent on with all the money she saved were not really enjoyed... 3it's different if it's a holiday weekend..

I guess it depends on where it is and who it was

Re: Any weekday weddings?
We are having a Monday wedding but it is part of a three day weekend so it is more like a Sunday.

Re: Any weekday weddings?
Im having a Thursday wedding. 1- im off the 2 weeks during and after so all my co-workers will be off and I know that my family will be there and so will our friends. People love you they will be there, thats the way I look at it. Also we are getting married in the summer so why not have a 3 day weekend if you can? People go out Thursday nights like it is nothing so why not go to a wedding and have a great time. Im on a budget and found it cheaper for a thursday night in the summer then a friday night in the winter and got alot for my money

Volleyball night is every Thursday on the beach & i swear i have never seen so many people out in my life. It was worse then weekend nights out at the bars on the beach! HONEST if u can do that why not a wedding???

Re: Any weekday weddings?
I'd definitely go to a weeknight wedding but I might leave early because I don't get a lot of time off from work. I'd try to work something out if it were a very close friend or family member.

Re: Any weekday weddings?
i personally would find it an inconvience since I have work , FH has work and my daughter would have school on a weekday, I would go if it was a close friend or family member, if not i might go, but would have to leave early

Yes I am and very proud. I see it thisway, same way my friends can go to happy hour or lounges and club to 4am on Thursday. Then they come to my wedding that ends at 11pm

Re: Any weekday weddings?
I went to a Tuesday wedding last summer. It was tons of fun. The way I figure it... a wedding is a wedding - a celebration of love and a good time - no matter what day of the week or time of the day it occurs at. Inconvenience - HA! I wouldnt invite anyone who it might inconvenience!

Re: Any weekday weddings?
I think it's fine, but at the same time we couldn't make one of the FH's good friends' Thursday weddings because of too short notice.
Although we sometimes go out on Thursday, it's usually only if Friday is 'not a big day' -- meaning, if we can take it off, the FH doesn't have alot of patients scheduled -- or for me, if I don't have court.
That being said, most people give enough notice (this person gave us 2 weeks notice . . . . gave everyone 2 weeks notice) that people can take the day off (even those with varied schedules like me) if they need to, so do what you want to do!!!!
I would suggest perhaps giving longer notice than usual, just in case. For instance, I schedule court dates 3-6 months in advance sometimes, and Friday is a big day for attorneys, teachers, bank employees, etc. . . . . but if you give enough notice, guests can avoid scheduling on that date . . .
Give three months' notice, instead of 2 -- or even 4 months -- and it should be alot easier for everyone to set that night aside!!! I would think that should help for any weeknight, and since you should get married when YOU want to, your guests will make it work if they can!

I want to try to plan something afterhours I have to see if FH is up to it. Most of our guest are oot so it really does not matter what time we go to bed.

First of all:
Out of towners take the weekend for your wedding.
Second of all:
Chateau Briand is the most awesome place to get married (hahaha, biased) -- especially with the new 'South Beach Club' courtyard to inspire after partying -- for sure because
