we can't have an off season wedding because FH is an auditor and his firm usually sends him to do audits to other places/states and the time range is from Jan til May u know tax season..he's not IRS though :( i love that place :( and Jericho terrace is 97pp for friday night Jericho is nice too but it's just that WM has gorgeous grounds! :(

ok...then i'd suggest trying a day wedding...thats probably yur best bet...or maybe a thursday night? would that work for you? I know that it sux paying for things yourself..i know..luckily i alwys wanted my date because its my greatgrandparents anniversary...i lucked out with the off seaon thing...lol the tax/grat is a lot though cause they charge 20% at WM. i think you are looking at about $138+ after tax and grat....Are youplanning on having a huge guest list because this should be factored in as well. it may be do-able somehow....come up with a number of guests and then go and tell try to negotiate...it may work if you show a genuine love for the place!

i think she meant saturday in the daytime, not sure if its what you want though. A daytime wedding they will work with you on the price.
Also i saw another post you wrote. Are you 100% sure youre taking pics at the grounds of whatever Rh you pick. See i didnt pay attention to the grounds bc i knew i had no plans of taking pics at the grounds of an RH. I didnt want garden pics or anything like that, i want more of an urban look for my pics so we went to LIC to take them. First we went to gantry park, its on the water so you have a view of the NYC skyline, then we went to 5 pointz where they have graffiti walls. ALot of girls on here go elsewhere to take pics, even if they want garden type pics, they go somewhere else such as westbury gardens or some place like that. So maybe keep that in mind when looking at RH's. ANother problem is that many Rh's only allow you to come an hour before your wedding to take pics, not all but alot of them. We knew an hour would not be enough time to get all the pics, we didnt want a time limit on our pics which is another reason we took our pics elsewhere

We're having a Saturday day time wedding because we couldnt meet the minimum for an evening wedding in the Manor Room. I'm paying $95 pp before taxes. We didnt negotiate because that price was reasonable for us but we got a ton of stuff thrown in.

Who have you been dealing with? Our bm is Felicia and she's great. I think she's in charge of all the bookings so it might be best to speak directly with her. What have other places offered you? Mention this to them... they may not meet their prices but maybe they'll take something off. What are you comfortable paying per person? You can't expect too much, you know?

Re: any WM brides???
I TOTALLY FEEL YOU!!! We LOVED Westbury Manor when we walked in...unfortunately, the only date that we could afford would and make the minimum guarantee would be a Thursday night in August, September ($85pp), or October ($80pp).
Not sure how you feel about a Thursday night - but maybe those prices work better for you.
Good Luck!!!!
ETA - correct pricing information...sorry!

yea thursday night will not work for us.... :( we have lots of guests coming out of town and country it will be tough... they were offering us march for 85 i think but!!! FH is an auditor and he has a busy season running from January til May because he works for a non for profit firm in the city and they send him to do audits for tax season to different places out of town and has to stay for a week sometimes far from nyc...so we can't play around with those months :(
