Any women with curly hair out there? I need help!

I am thinking of trying a salon in NYC named Ouidad that is for women w/curly hair. It is very $$$$ so I am wondering if anyone has been there and can give me there opinion. Or, if you have curly hair, where do you go to get it cut, anywhere in NYC or Nassau County.

I have long thick curly/wavy hair and use simple Alberto V05 on it and Hair and mane condtioner on it. I asked my hair stylist if it makes a diference and he told me all shampoos are bascially the same it is the additives they put in it. My hair is healthy - infact starngers ask me if they can touch it. (NOT!). I love where I get my hair cut, it is called Salon D'Arel , The owner cuts my hair and does a great job, they are on the N.Bellmore/East Meadow border.

I have curly hair. I have never been to the place but I would probably love to try it. I get my hair cut by Ciro, the same person who did my hair for the wedding.
I use Frizzease mouse and love it. I am not super picky about my hair though. I would only go the extra mile for a special occassion.
