Anybody a teacher?

Anybody a teacher?

I plan on inviting my students to our church services. I thought I might have them process in before the BMs. Then get a group picture with them either on the altar or outside after mass is over. Two of my 6th graders are altar servers at their church and I have asked them to serve at our mass.
Any thoughts?

that's a lovely idea! I had the high school choir sing at my wedding .. in addition to all the kids! It was the highlight of our day!

That is very nice. However, I'm a special education teacher, i teach behavior problem junior high students and i COULDN'T imagine inviting any of them.

But good for you.

I am a part time private violin teacher, and two of my students are in my BP. One is already in college, and the other is my Junior BM.

I am a flute teacher and one of my students is in my BP, too. But I also teach music history in a school for emotionally disturbed teens, and man oh man, I can't even imagine having them know where I live or what my new last name was going to be! But I have to admit, I have often wished I had some cute little kiddies that I teach to be present at the ceremony! So I hope you choose to have them there!

Wow that is so nice of you. I work in one of the worst schools in the Bronx and I could never imagine having my kids in my wedding. We get cursed out on a daily basis and hit!

I invited my class, and I was so happy I did. Their little faces were so precious to see as I walked down the aisle, and they were SO good!

Here we are outside my church

Re: Anybody a teacher?

In my case, both of these girls families have become very close to us, so they are invited to the wedding too. Rachel, sorry to hear that your students are so mean! I can't picture myself teaching at a school, I love teaching the violin privately ... it is more personal and you can work better. I admire those of you who love to do music education in schools, it requires a lot of patience!!!

I might do it if I had different students. I love my kids, but I can't imagine my special ed preschoolers with all of their behavioral problems at the church!
