Anybody change vendors at the last minute?

I mean really last minute. I have nine days until my wedding and there is a particular, vendor, who is very instrumental in making sure the reception is a success, who is making me feel very, very uneasy.

Am I being ridiculous to even consider such a late switch?

As you are considering this option, you should take a close look at your contract with this particular vendor. I think that many vendors state in the contract that, if there is a cancellation or postponement, they are still due the full amount. So if you ended up cancelling, you might have to pay 2x what you would normally pay (once for old vendor and once for new).
