thank god! I felt like MOST of you were having them...this thread made me feel a lil better. We're not doing E-pics either. I just feel like doing all these things are added expenses. maybe if my parents were paying for my wedding i'd be gung ho about all of it....but being that FH and I are footing the bill for entire wedding (although i know his mom will help whenever needed) I just see everything in dollar signs.
Although i must say even tho we didn't have an e-party we got about $1,400 in checks and cash and another $1500 in gifts from the reg and they are saying that they are engagement gifts not wedding gifts so...we still got lucky
I was thinking the ame things since we didn't have one either. We just had a dinner with our immediate families so they could get to know each other a little before all the planning began, but that's it.

I had one, but thats b/c I'm just super special.
Yup that is why we had one too!! No I am kidding. We did have a party at a Firehouse with all of our families and friends but that was in February soo there was alot of time before the wedding! I dont think it is necessary if you dont want to have one. We really wanted to celebrate and have our extended families and most of our friends have a great time!

I didn't have a e-partyeither and really had no desire to have one. My Dad really wanted us to have one, but e said no thanks. We will probably have a nice informal dinner since FH family is from OOT, but nothing more than that.

Re: anybody else ...
We weren't interested in one since we are renovating a home right now and are really busy. We are going to have a housewarming party when our house is done and we figure that'll be before our wedding and can double up as a get-together, possibly in celebration of an upcoming wedding. Anything bigger isn't our thing.
