Anybody else nervous about their florist?

I've been reading a ton of posts about FM florist and most recently, a Brides Review of Flower Michele.

It makes me a bit nervous to see these reviews. I thought that Flower Michele would get their act togehter once they got settled with some new people after that woman Barbara left, but the latest bad review was very recent.... She showed pics of her sample centerpiece and pics of the actual centerpiece and they were TOTALLY different.

What freaks me out a little is that my RH is very far away from the florist and if something goes wrong you can't just jump into a car go to the store and fix it....

Thoughts or advice from any other Flower Michele brides?

have faith in your vendors...for every complaint there are 10 compliments! there was a reason you went with them. tell them of any concerns, thsi way they are aware

I know. When I met with John I thought he was amazing but now reading these posts, it makes me nervous. I will just make sure I check in and have faith in him.

Im also a Flower Michele/John bride and have full faith in them. Ive heard so many people rave about them that a few complaints dont even bother me. I dont think you have anything to worry about when it comes to them--its some of the other vendors that concern me more.

The other thing about FM is that their staff RELIGIOUSLY reads this site. I even had one of their former secretaries comment on my computer, which she saw in the background of a photo of my e-ring. This means she was reading enough to know my screen name and have looked at my pics without me ever telling her I was on LIW or what my user ID on here was.

With that in mind, the staff there sees these complaints and I am sure that they are not happy about them and do everything in their power to correct these situations for the future.

I have faith in John and FM! AND I HOPE I WIN THE CONTEST!

I don't have faith in FM. I am not going to be upset if it's only something I will notice but I'm not confident in them at all. I wish I had went with Verbena.

i'm booked with FM as well. i have total faith in john, and couldn't be happier. and to be totally honest, when i had my meeting with him i voiced my concerns about the negative reviews and he was very upfront and honest and put my mind at ease. i'm 150% happy with my choice. winning the contest wouldn't be so bad either!

I'm sooooo sorry Jen!!! I feel so bad, but they weren't like that before. I'm sure they'll get their stuff together soon. They really do beautiful work. they've just been going through a bad spell

i dont have FM....and i have faith that they will do a good job (someone in the family is good friends with the people there) but i kinda wish i went to another florist bc they were pricey and i wasnt able to get what i really wanted..so i kinda wish i went with burtons bc they dont charge for specific flowers (im obsessed with orchids)

Yeah, it was a toss up between Verbena and Flower Michele for me as well. I am hoping and praying that he comes through!!! He was totally amazing when I met with him but reading those reviews kinda freak me out.

I know dude....its crazy, but I'm sure your flowers will come out awesome...they have 6 months to really get on target. That's PLENTY of time!!!

When I went to FM I met with Barbara and although I loved her concepts, she struck me as a little off. I wasn't that suprised that she 'left'. John is the real talent anyway. I'm sure your flowers are going to be amazing! Seriously, that's not something you need to stress over...he's going to do 100 weddings before then so it will be totally fine!

I still feel bad though...I ended up with your favorite and you ended up with one of mine

Although I have to tell you, I almost wish I went with LA Blossom after seeing what she did for my FBIL's wedding....WOW it was un-freaking-believable!!!

i brought it up how i obvioulsy found him on LIW and that I was hearing alot of negative feedback from brides about flowers not being right or what was even in the contract or all the flowers not arriving. he basically laid it all out. he said that last year he over did it. he was so busy and so booked that things got away from him. he also had an employee who left, and left a lot of contracts unfinished or incorrect. he really loves what he does and last year was his worst year ever for enjoying work. he told me that for this year he was only doing 2 weddings or something a day and his hand was going to be involved in every one of them.

i think everything that happened really hurt him, he was overwhelmed. but i have faith in him like i said.

I am using Flower Michele too and I wasn't nervous until I realized that he has 3 LIW brides on my day and I'm not sure how many others. I know he will get the job done, but worried they will be overbooked and something will be wrong.
