...just eloping with all the stress and money you will spend. This wedding is costing enough to be the downpayment on a house. FH is being great about it so I don't tell him this but I will tell you ladies, you know what I mean, you want the day of your dreams but it is a day versus the rest of your lives

Oh my goodness, all the time!!! The stress, the money.... We seriously discussed this many times, and as recently as a month ago. I feel we have no business having this wedding since we don't have a house. Yes it is only one day, but it is a once in a lifetime day. We want to celebrate in a big way. We can always make more money.
Or at least that is what I tell myself to make me feel better!

Thats exactly what we did. We didnt tell anyone besides my parents and his and went and got married. We did it because we were in the process of buying our house and we didnt have enough money to have a wedding then. So we bought the house and now 2 years later we are finally having our wedding.

Thought about if but immediately dismissed it. It's the same with the engagement ring. She said it was ok to get a simulated diamond but I didn't even want to think about it and after a while she gave up. You can read my proposal story on the 10 / 2 posting.
