Anybody get married at the Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling College???
Hi!! My name is Rachel =)
Me and my fiance Mike have booked our wedding at the Vanderbilt Mansion at Dowling College for 2009. We fell in LOVE with the place!
I just wanted to see if some of you can give me any reviews from your personal experience....or anything!

I got married there!!!!
We had a flawless day.. well at least i was told that. All my guests said they had a great time and the lawn. Everyone loved the food and they thought cocktail hour was dinner.

Tell me more about it! When did you get married there?? recently?
I have read some other reviews on different websites and heard all good things about it except one thing.......the bathrooms. Which honestly I forgot to look at while I was there. I mean its not too much of a big deal to me...probably not a big deal at all. I just figure Ill bring some stuff there to put in it like girly stuff and nice hand napkins to dress it a little. You think I should bother?? You would know more than me =)
Did you get married in the garden or in the back? or inside?
I am so excited! You have any pictures?

Hi I went to a wedding there this summer! THe place is beautful...i didnt mind the bathrooms at all...who cares, its a bathroom! A couple of things to note though were that the a/c definitely didnt work well...we were all really warm! Also, a few times waiters dropped trays of food (which happens, no big deal) but never cleaned it up well enough so people kept slipping and sliding and fallin! Lastly, and this is a freak thing...the bride had a severe nut allergy. She told them and had it put in her contract that nothing could be prepared with any sort of nuts Well, the truffles were made with nuts and she had to be rushed to the emergency room that night! But it really is a nice place and im sure you will have a great day!

Oh wow! That is a really freak thing! Was she ok??
I know! Thats what Im thinking.....its a bathroom! I just saw that people were saying that it is a typical school bathroom. But really i dont care all that much. Ill get nice hand napkins to dress it or something =)
