Anybody going to the St. Pucchi trunk show in Manhatten next week? I've never been to one, what are they like?

Anybody going to the St. Pucchi trunk show in Manhatten next week? I've never been to one, what are they like?

I have an appointment for this trunk show (from the sound of the phrase 'trunk show', I always imagined a ton of girls running around a store, just grabbing dresses out of trunks or off the rack, like total chaos!).

But, I was told I'd meet Rani, the designer, and she'll be bringing dresses from her collection that the store doesn't have, so I gave them the two that I'm very interested in.

But my question is, what exactly is a trunk show, is it just like a regular apppointment in a bridal salon, just that you get to meet the designer?

Here are the two dresses that I love, but can't decide between the two...what does everyone else think...which do you like?

I cant see the photos of the dresses so I cant comment on those.

But trunk shows are very similiar to shopping in the store without a trunk show except that:
a) You meet the or a designer from the company - so they can help you with how the dress can be altered or changed to suit you
b) Much more of the collection is in the store for display try on
c) Most salons give a 10% discount if you buy during a trunk show

Hmmm...its hard to see all of #2 but it looks most interesting to me...but it takes a pretty headstrong girl to wear a blue wedding dress :D

It really depends on your body shape and the type of wedding you are going for. St Pucchi dresses have a lot going on so you really have to try it and on see.

On an unrelated topic, I see you are using Mark Kauffmans studio (so did I), who are your photographers?

Oh, I almost freaked when I saw the color of the dress, they have it in ivory or white...I couldn't wear a blue dress, besides not liking it, my mother would probably be hysterically crying!

Yes, I'm using Mark...Mark Kaufman is one of the photographers, and he gave me the name of the second, but I forgot...we paid for the fine art photographer...I think he said it's someone who used to shoot music videos or something. I have to go back there anyways, I'll be sure to get the name. Who was your photographers, and were you happy?

The show is at Bridal Suite of Manhatten, that's why I posted the earlier subject, 'Anyone been to Bridal Suite of Manhatten'?

BUt so far no one has responded, so I'm not sure what kind of place it is.

I think you may have Lynn - I had her too and she was amazing! I am very happy (my photos are posted all over if you want to see).

Ive been to Bridal Suite and they have a nice selection. I think susans had her alterations done there so she could give you a better review than I could.
