I was actually just looking for information on the v-tech 5.8 with 3 handsets....... it looks like a good price, but I am not so sure about the brand

Vtech Supposedly has improved over the years but I still wouldnt buy one. I would probably stick with Panasonic, Motorola, Uniden, or AT&T. Try eopinions for reviews on phones.

I have the AT&T 5.8 ghz phone system. I have 2 additional handsets. I love it. The range is excellent and I've never gotten crossed lines etc like other cordless phones. The additional lines don't require phone jacks so you can put them anywhere in the house.
I would defiinitely recommend the set I have.

How much did you pay for the AT&T phone that you have?

We got it about 2 yrs ago so I don't remember exactly but I know it was over $150 for the base set then something like $70 or so for each additional phone. At the time, there were only 2/3 companies that made them. Now I see just about everyone does.

I just bought the Uniden 5.8ghz the other day from office max....got a pretty good deal (we bought the model with out the answering machine) so far they are good...the person in the store said they are brand new and have been getting good reviews so far.

We currently have the Siemens 2420 2.4 system, but it's on the old side and we seem to get a lot of interference with it (wireless LAN, etc.). I figured it was time to get a new system, so I figured I would see if the 5.8 would help cut down on the interference.

I purchased a vTech (i5867) last night, but
I'm returning it. I felt it was lacking in features. I definitely want a system that allows data transfer (phone numbers) from handset to handset or handset to base and the vTech didn't. And for the price I paid...I should do have every feature!

This is an excellent phone system. Danielle and I were looking at this yesterday, but Staples wanted a lot of money for it.
