Anybody hear WPLJ today?

I can't get onto their website at work but I want to see the '2 Strangers and a Wedding' people!!!!

They had 'fake' names (her real name was Lisa) and the ceremony was so funny. The minister sounded WASTED.

For those that don't know, they were set up by the DJ's and got married....and met eachother face to face when she walked down the aisle!!!!!!!

That is trashy in my opinion. And I liked WPLJ....

I don't listen to that station, but IMO, it just makes a mockery out of marriage.

I heard it & even watched it on the live webcam this morning!!! It was hysterical to watch! Still can't understand how they took their vows with 'alias' names!!!! Very interesting ceremony!!!

If they used fake names then are they really married?

I guess thats the way it is with arranged marriages. Sometimes the bride and groom don't meet until the ceremony.

That's an entirely different story, that's a cultural thing. Which I am sure this wasn't!

Oh, absolutely I agree that this was not a cultural thing, I was just saying its the same thing that they don't meet each other until they are actually getting married. It might seem strange to us, but it actually done all the time.
This was just some silly gimmick pulled off by a radio station.

I've been listening the last few weeks to this all coming together. I believe (but am not positive) that the bride was married b4 & that she's older and was able to pick from 4-5 guys (surveys they took, interviews, etc. but no pics). I do think it is ridiculous though sort of the first Fox show, Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire (?)

I'm wondering if it is legit if they didn't use their real names during vows...

It's like the Bachelor too - hello...completely strangers, go on a few dates, and get hitched...

I personally don't agree with it - but hey...there's a seat for every azz.

They don't look very happy, do they? The brides smile looks totally forced and he's not smiling at all.
