Anybody stuck working?

Eh, it's okay. At least I'm actually going to be out to see fireworks! It's a rare treat for us to be off tonight, together!

aww! sorry! When I was on t.v., I used to have to work holidays, too, so I FEEL YOUR PAIN! But one of the reasons I got out of communications was to have normal hours... hope you're getting holiday pay today!!!

Oh boy! The pressure is on now!

Storms are already popping and I think nearly everyone is going to see some rain today with the front approaching. Everything is in place for some rough thunderstorms to be seen around the area. The only thing we can hope for is that they'll be done before the fireworks. But I have a feeling that some of the displays will be cancelled today.

SInce we actually have off tonight, we both looked into theose cruises that you can watch the Jones Beach fireworks. We decided a few days ago that it wasn't worth the risk with the weather like this. That should tell you something (He's a meteorologist too if you didn't know that)

You should be okay for the next few hours. But keep an eye on the sky. And remember: There is no such thing as heat lightning!

nope your not alone, I have to work until 1 am again until thursday And I was trying to find coverage to see my sister in the hospital because she gave birth to her first child yesterday. No one wanted to work for me, doesn't surprise me one bit because when my grandfather passed away nobody wanted to close for me at the restaurant. Jerks.

Congratulations Aunt! I know what's it like trying to find coverage in the restaurants. (I've worked in them for 12 years now, either full-time or part-time)

i had to work. and just got home a little while ago. no fireworks for me
