We are going through the Hyatt and in our contract....if all the rooms that we have blocked off aren't used, then we have to pay 80% of the actual room cost for what ever rooms are left......our dealine is April 10th.

That's not happening to you guys?

no
i think 99% of the hotels will just release unblocked rooms one month before wedding

Awww...
I wonder too if this is just a Hyatt thing maybe you can call up any random hyatt tommrow and ask them their policy about blocking rooms at their particular hotel just so you know for yourself whether this is the case or not? I just never heard of this and it makes no sense to me for you to be responsible for 80% of the cost, thats so crazy

You know.....I bet each one has their own policies and of course the one WE pick is the one that screws people around!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRR

Thank you for calling though........it would be interesting to know if that happens at all the hyatts........AND you would think that the customer service would have SOME type of answer for you.......BLAH!
