Anyone become pregnant when they were older than 35?

I want to wait until I am somewhere between 35-38. If you became PG in those years, would you mind telling me how long it took you to become pg and if you had to use medical intervention?

TIA!

I got PG when I was 36, I am currently 37 and I am due in May '05. It took us two months - no medical intervention.

You should get a general check-up and tell your OB that you are thinking of getting PG. That's what I did and they ran some tests and blood work and told me all was good.

My cousin got pregnant at 40 and 42... No intervention, no complications. Both children are doing very well and are very smat (they're 5 and 3 now).

I conceived at 36 and had my little one at 37...no issues at all. It took us 3 tries ...really one month of tracking my ovualtion cycle.
The doctor had me take prenatals about 6 months before we started trying.

I got pregnant at 35 on the first try. My pregnancy has been very easy so far. I'm due at the end of January.

I got pregnant 2 months before my 35th birthday. It took us about 8 months.

Please remember that many women have had an easy time getting pregnant, regardless of age and others have had a long difficult journey. There is no way to know which way it will be for you. I was 33 when I got pregnant. 34 when I had Molly. It took me 3 months, with charting. BUT there was no way to predict what would happen. Waiting does increase your risk of certain problems with pregnancy so you should discuss all of your options with your GYN and then make an informed decision about it.
