Please please please read this website before going on yasmin..
I had a HORRIBLE experience on it. I decided to research why I felt the way i did and stumbled on this site...also...a coworker and a friend of mine both suffered the same things i did. They included feeling depressed, panic attacks, not being able to breath right (from the attacks)...you name it.
I know some people have done ok with it but I just don't know. I called my doc and showed him this site...and told him it was a nightmare for me.

I have been on it for a year and (knock on wood) it has been good for me. I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen before but got my period every other week and was an emotional mess on it. No complaints here about Yasmin!

I switched from Loestrin to Yasmin about six months ago. I was on Loestrin for three years with hardly any side affects and all of a sudden I started getting horrible mood swings. With Yasmin my mood swings are basically gone, my sex drive increased, my boobs grew, I do not get as bloated as I used to and my skin isn't as bad the week before it is that time.

me too - I tried it out for 3 months, 'cause thats how long my Dr. said it takes to get the full effect of the medication. My boobs got bigger and felt swollen, I gained weight and felt bloated all the time, and I got terrible terrible headaches.
eta: I've found that I'm most comfortable with BC that dispenses the medication evenly throughout the day, not in one shot when the pill is ingested. I would get a headache about 30 minutes after taking the pill, and the Dr. explained it as a 'medication surge'. I prefer BC in the patch or ring form, because the medication is released slowly all day, not in one shot.

i love yasmin. almost 2 years now and no problems. i hated ortho lo...i had breakthrough bleeding out of nowhere with it one day so my gyn switched me.

Yasmin - no weight gain. If you work out - which I did for 8 months straight I lost weight and gained muscle and ate right ........
I sometimes feel stressed & anxious at times depressed......but I attribute that all to this whole wedding thing....LOL...
I like it.

There is a previous thread somewhere about Yasmin.
I was on it for almost six months. I bled the entire time (I'm talking almost every day, all month). My doctor kept telling me to let my body adjust. Sometimes it was only small amounts, but still!! I became anemic. I switched to another pill and have no more bleeding problems.

Yeah i have been on i like it better then all of them you don'y gain much like may be 5pounds it is a lower dose. i didn't lile ortho at all i gain alot of weight from it

I was on it of about 5 years and loved it no problems at all and no problems coming off!
