The VH is Normally at the Last hour of the Party.. I love it Only because I love ALLLL DESERTS..... Cotton candy Candy Apples I love all that stuff Dancing does stop at this time they Bring all the deserts into the Dance floor area so people can get what they want. But the VH Gives you another hour to your Party I think most places do that .. They have Mini VH and they bring stuff to the tables which is Cool

I havent been to one that had the full VH, but I went to one with a mini and it was a lot of dessert, and it didnt take away from anything.
You are a fellow Scotto Brothers bride, my hall threw in a mini viennesse for free. Can you see if CB will do the same for you?

I was just at one at the VH was outside it was quite impressive, all the desserts, but after all the food we at b/w cocktail hour and dinner, I couldn't really touch any of it.
I did feel that it interrupted the affair, but some people love it. I'd prefer to dance then eat some more.

ahh I see, I think it would be nice to have the full too, but we already have so much food plus have like 12 hot stations in additiona to the other food during CH (FFIL got our BM to throw in a couple extra hot stations) and we added the seafood boat as well so i think if we were to have the full VH our guests would need to be rolled out of the reception.
My fh and I were at a wedding 3 years ago at Fox Hollow that had a full VH. It was very nice, and we definitely enjoyed the extra hour to spend with our friends.

at swan club in the camelot room, they dont put it on the dance floor - there is an alcove part where it is set up so people can still dance if they want to!

I have been to a few of them... the gdancing stopped in all of them except for Russo's. They have it in a long hallyway type room that is connected to the main ballroom and the deserts are just layed across the whole thing. I have never been to a wedding at my hall but they have the same setup.. the VH is in a differnt room, rather than on the dance floor so that night doesnt have to stop. I cant wait!!!!!!!!

I have been to two with full VH's. One the dancing stopped (at the aquarium) as everything was set up on the dance floor. However, for the other one at the Meadow Club, the VH was set up in the room next door where the cocktail hour was, so nothing was interrupted. Those who wanted to get dessert went and got dessert, and those who wanted to dance the night away were able to do so. This was actually awesome. I did a lil of both hehe!!!

a friend of mine had it, and the dancing did stop for the rest of the evening. Also most people were too full to indulge, it was a pretty sight though.

I love a full Viennese hr .... its so beautiful - they usually make a round circle of tables, there are fireworks as they are walking in the room .... and its all yummy sweets! theres usually even candy for you to take home in a little bag (like twizzlers, gummi bears, candy apples, licorice, etc.)

I was at one at the Sand Castle last month and while it didn't interupt anything, they don't do anything for me. IMO the last hour should be solid dancing, we just spent the last 4 hours or so eating I wanna dance it all off!

I love the VH! I'm having it and I'm excited about it. But at the same time, I don't think it's totally necessary. I never found it to interrupt the party at all.
