My best friend's wedding was there 3 years ago. I had a wonderful time. It was perfect for them. They cut alot of corners - they weren't into a really big wedding, but everything was beautiful! It was buffet style dinner which I really liked. The food was great! The good thing about the buffet was that everyone got to go back for seconds and even some thirds! They are such laid back people that the sit down really wouldn't have suited them. The cocktail hour was in a tent on the grounds which was very big and open...nice! The reception was inside with plenty of room for everyone...the view of the sunset was spectacular! They were able to take some pics on the grounds. The staff was very accomodating and everything was clean and updated. Overall, I think it was a great place for a wedding. We thought about going with them, but didn't want to be copycats! Great to hear. Thanks. I sounds like we are a lot like your friend. We just want to have a nice place w/ good food and fun that doesn't cost a fortune. It is all what you make it. Thanks so much!

No problem! They got married across the street right on the beach and then everyone walked over to the par-tay....so much fun!

Honestly, I went there because my moms friend recommended a ton of places and my mom made me look at ALL OF THEM! I saw a lot of places in that price range and none of them really spoke out to me but I did see a lot of places that were pretty nice. If I was shooting for a place like that I would have much prefered the Coral House or even the Swan Club at a not so popular time. I do know for a fact that the food at the Coral House is pretty good. I have been to a few events there and they were all really good and it was cheaper then the lido golf club! The LBGC is a nice place I just wasnt impressed with their menu, but thats personal taste. HTH!
