Anyone been to London??

I need fun things to do to convince FH thats where we should go on our honeymoon!! Any advice!?

I lived in London! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it there... So many great things to do... The Tower of London... Lond on Dungeon... Buckingham Palace... lots of touristy things.

I would suggest going to London and maybe Italy... its really cheap to travel to different cities once youre across the pond =)))

I am jealous of you living in London!! tell me more!

no i havent. we wanted to do Europe for our HM but im not sure i want to anymore. there is so much to see and do and I think i want to do more relaxing than being and tourist. hope he agrees with you! good luck.

I love London, been there twice! I do agree, it's much like NYC. There's enough to do for first time visitors. I've been to the theatres, Tower of London (which was great), Big Ben, West Minster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Madaam Tussaunds and I'm sure I'm forgetting some places. The food is so-so, it's not a place to go for great food. It's easy to get around, the tube is great! The only current issue I have with it now is it's rather costly. The exchange rate is just under 2, therefore for every 1 British pound is 2 US dollars. Hotels are average of 300-400 a night in USD. I am an accoutning manager for a company that has an office, clients, and apartment over there. I process expense reports daily for company travel and it's kind of expensive right now.

A great tourist place to go!

omg that is my most favorite place in the world!!

its defintiely not a relaxing vacation ...but there;s tons to see

and if you like to drink it's defin the place to go
there is a pub on every corner
the night life is awesome and so is the shopping

you can go on so many tours

the people there are great and i absolutely adore their accent!

i cant wait to go back!!

We just got back 2 days ago from a 5 day trip.

I wouldn't think of London as a honeymoon spot. It is really expensive and I think you can see all there is to see in only 4 - 5 days. Also, you are doing a lot of walking and sightseeing and it is not relaxing.

If you do decide to go, I would go to London for a few days and then on to another place - english countryside, ireland, paris, etc.

After you see a lot of the touristy things, it is just a big city.

We had a great time and I would recommend it for anyone. But I think it is the kind of trip that is doable over a long weekend, and therefore, not necessarily the best choice for a honeymoon.
