Anyone been to Peter Island? its a private island?

I was just researching Peter Island a few weeks ago. I've heard great things, but it's not super elegant or luxurious...but that's the point from this type of place...like a deserted island retreat!
My travel agent recommended Cap Jaluca in Aguilla for a more luxurious Carribean vacation.

And yes, Peter Island has only the one resort on the island.

We were looking into Peter Island also, but thought it wasn't as luxurious as we wanted. We are now looking at The Four Seasons in Nevis. Heard great things!!!

Yes my FH cousin went to Nevis and stayed at the four seasons and she said it was unbelievable. thanks for the info about peter island. I will check out the one in antigilla- I cant spell, lol.

yes private island, but very nice, heard it is very mellow, have not gone myself... we have been to Little Dix Bay and WOW...very private and great spa facilities...try the torchlit beach dinner for the ultimate romantic dinner. PS. Matt lauer was there and stayed at a beach bungalow 2 doors down. Going back for honeymoon. (PS very expensive...but worth it)

my parents have been to Peter Island -they went for about 5 days and said it was very nice - my parents walk tot other side of the island - and they would deliver their lunch or pick them up if they did not want to drive home.
My parents like it because it is secluded and quiet - and they do take care of you -
