Anyone been to Puerto Rico?

Original post by JNMWineBride

My FH and I have some frequent flyer tix to use up so we're thinking of Puerto Rico in May for 3 nights.

Right now we're looking at the Westin Rio Mar and the San Juan Marriott. The first isn't near anything - which could be nice. The second is in the city - which would be very convenient.

Suggestions???

Def, the San Juan Marriott! I also second the biobay, it was a great time and also a visit to el junque (the rain forest) was AMAZING!!! You will have a great time.

The weather is generally good year round except of course for Hurricane season. It may rain for about 10 min - 1 hour then the rest of the day is all sunny. The Caribe Hilton is an awesome hotel and very beautiful. I've never stayed at the hotels you mentioned. If you need any more info feel free to FM me. PR is like me second home.

We stopped in San Juan on our cruise last week & I can honestly say I didn't like it...I felt it was so commericalized & it didn't give me the same 'caribbean' feeling as the other islands we visited. DH & I both agreed that we would not want to go back
