I am really having a tough time with this one. I don't know if I should go with a DJ or Band. My mom would like to stay around the 5k mark. You can totally do a dj with that but not really a band.
If I go with a dj, I want one with live musicians. Does anyone have any suggestions???? Or a band under or around 5k??

You can do a band @ around that price and a DJ for MUCH less. I have a friend who booked Code Bleu for 6K.

My DJ offered live musicians for an additional price... we added the steel drum guy for our cocktail hour, but you could alos have a percussionist during the reception, or a sax player during the reception that goes around to the tables, etc... he was also priced well... don't know if you were looking to do something like that!

I have booked my DJ...He is very reasonably priced...we are getting a percussionist for the reception and we got the plasma and the 'zap shots' and he was under $1800. FM me if you want more details!

I booked!! Keyboardist for CH, 4 hours of music during reception, zap shots, Itelligent light show, and 2 plasma screens for under $1500. I think his percussionist was only about $300 extra. He has two extra guys helping set up before the wedding...so he has 5 guys all together setting up. Oh, and if I want they are throwing in the 100 giveaways...haven't decided on that yet.

Yes, I did a lot of research! But he has done my sister's wedding and a friend of the family so I'm confident. I am getting married at the Fox HOllow also in the Briar Fox room so I was concerned about the set up. He knows all about that room and where he needs to set up.
