Anyone buy fruit recently?

This week I've bought and eaten apples, oranges and strawberries (bathing suit season obviously on its way ) - did the fruit you ate taste like crap? I'm eating an apple right now and I want to throw it away - it doesn't taste fresh and its dry or something! Just want to see if maybe its the store I bought them at.

I bought strawberries at Stop & Shop ---they were awsome - so sweet & juicy.

I bought Blackberries - not good at all - very tart.

We've ben eating fruit in our office and it tastes fine to us here. Did you get all the fruit from the same place?

Me too! They are on sale this week. I also had bananas which were good, and grapes last week when they were on sale.

Right now, strawberries and pineapples and grapes are in season...apples-not so much. Can't wait for peaches and nectarines

Apples & Oranges - Stop & Shop and my mom picked up the strawberries for me so I'm not sure where she got them from. I guess its back to veggies.

I get great fruit & veggies at Pat's Farm on 109 on my way back from Belmont Lake St. Park withthe dog. It's sort of a ritual for me - I love the little old Italian man who thumps the melons for me!!

I find the fruit and veggies to be MUCH cheaper and MUCH MORE FLAVORFUL than ANYTHING I get at the supermarket.

So try a local fruit and veggie stand!!

Cross Island Fruits in Malverne/Lynbrook is great too.

I've eaten strawberries, grapples, grapes and oranges....and all were delicious....well, the grapples weren't, but they arent' supposed to taste good.

I bought grapes from Pathmark a few weeks back, and was pulling some grapes off it, then looked in the center of it and saw a spidder in like a webbing and threw the whole thing out
