Anyone decorate with VINTAGE POSTERS?

I love the look of vintage posters but I dont have the wall space in my home to use them much.

But I think Im going to spruce up my bedroom with new paint and linens and thought maybe this was my chance since I have wall space in there.

Anyone use them as an inspiration for the room? Any photos to share?

I'm almost positive that the picture in this room was a vintage type poster...

the woman wanted to keep it b/c she liked the colors...

and this one you can see cut off on the left ...is that french cat picture...

ballard designs also has a lot of poster looks...you might want to see if they are any inspiration

I do.. It was the inspiration for the decor of my living room..

we bought this lithograph from an art gallery.

It's 37 x 54

We used the colors in the lithograph to decorate the room.

I don't.. but I hope to do this in the future.. there is a vintage poster gallery on 22nd street b/w 5th and 6th (closer to 6th) it's on the second floor- almost above the NY Baking Supply Store.

I have to upload pics of my living room..

but I have a mossy green chenille sectional couch with a chaise lounge.. I have yellow/navy blue/brown/burgandy/beaded pillows on the couch.. I have to wall sconces on each side of the painting, which are a fiery goldish/orangy color.. I have a bamboo straight-back chair in one corner with a beaded maroon pillow on the seat and a bamboo foot stool.. in the other corner I have this big urn looking pot with 7 foot tall (2 inch thick) dark colored bamboo sticks and where the chaise lounge chair is I have a bamboo end table with some funky looking candle sticks.. and I have this tall lamp with a beaded lampshade..

I have a khaki colored shag area rug in the center of the room with 2 leather ottomans that are side by side and a tray with a vintage poster logo sitting in between..

I am planning to do this in my guest bathroom. I like the bold colors in most vintage posters, now I am looking for one w. deep reds and goldish yellows.

The Cafe Martin one is always really nice.. I LOVE vintage posters.. we have a classic contemporary feel to our home so it is suits it perfectly..

I even have them in my kitchen to go with my parisian bistro theme,,
